"The 8th National Conference on Functional Brain Imaging by Near Infrared Spectroscopy"
Meeting dates: November 11-13, 2023
Venue: Beijing Normal University
Organizer: State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China
Functional Near Infrared Spectroscopic Brain Imaging (fNIRS) is highly valued in brain science research because of its low cost of equipment purchase and use, its ability to be used in natural environment, and its high temporal resolution and spatial localization ability. The "NIRS Brain Functional Imaging Conference" is a national conference initiated and organized by Prof. Zhaoche Zhu of the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, Beijing Normal University. It has been successfully held for seven consecutive sessions, attracting more than 800 scholars from nearly 100 universities, research institutes and hospitals across China. The conference has become the largest and most influential fNIRS brain imaging academic event in China.
This year's conference is organized by the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, Beijing Normal University. The conference will continue the pattern of combining academic presentations and research methodology workshops in previous conferences. The Academic Presentation Module (Saturday, November 11) will invite renowned scholars in the fields of psychology and cognitive neuroscience, basic and clinical medicine, as well as engineering and technology to report their latest research results in fNIRS; and the Workshop Module (November 12-13) will be organized by frontline researchers in the field of fNIRS to systematically teach the principles of fNIRS imaging, experimental design, data analysis and statistics, paper writing, as well as the frontiers of fNIRS. fNIRS data analysis and statistics, fNIRS thesis writing, and fNIRS cutting-edge technologies. In addition to theoretical lectures, fNIRS spatial localization and data analysis (NIRS-KIT software) will be provided, and sufficient time for Q&A will be arranged for the participants to communicate and interact with each other.
NIRS-KITis organized by Zhu Chao, State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, Beijing Normal University.A product developed by Prof. Che's groupSoftware specialized in the analysis of near-infrared data, theBoth the detection of activation zones for task-state fNIRS data and the requirements for analyzing resting-state fNIRS data for metrics such as functional connectivity, graph theory, and low-frequency amplitude can be accomplished.softwareSince its release in 2021 it has receivedupFieldsin-house studyIt is widely used and praised by the people.More than 6000 downloads to date, Google Scholar searchdraw (e.g. a bow)Used more than 70 times.
