Henderson Technology 2024 Human Factors Workshop (Harbin Station)

I. Workshop topics

In recent years, neuroscience equipment has become an important tool for experimental teaching in industrial design, biomedical engineering, psychology and other specialties, helping teachers and students to better understand the relevant theoretical knowledge and improve their practical skills. Neuroscience equipment is an important research tool in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial design, psychology and other fields. This workshop can help our institute to carry out cutting-edge research in these fields and enhance the academic level and influence.
In this workshop, by visually operating and explaining the equipment, our faculty and students can better understand the working principles of such instrumentation and the availability of the equipment in mechanical disciplines. Faculty and students can learn how to perform data acquisition, processing and analysis by actually operating the neuroscience equipment, which helps to improve students' experimental skills and hands-on abilities. Experimental research using these devices can develop students' scientific thinking and scientific research skills, including experimental design, data analysis, and paper writing. Neuroscience equipment can be applied to multiple subject areas, such as biomedical engineering, industrial design, psychology, etc., which further helps students to build an interdisciplinary knowledge system. By learning to use neuroscience devices, students can be inspired to be creative and innovative in emerging fields such as human-computer interaction, intelligent control, and industrial design. Teachers can use neuroscience devices to help students understand the ideas and directions in user experience optimization, human-computer interaction convenience, product personalization design, and safety assessment in industrial design, and to improve their clinical thinking and analytical ability. For teachers who plan to work in related fields, familiarizing themselves with these advanced equipments and technologies in advance can lay a solid foundation for your research in the field.
It is understood that in recent years, the application of neuroscience equipment is rapidly expanding into more fields as technology advances and costs decrease. This trend reflects that neuroscience equipment is gradually penetrating into more and more fields, providing new opportunities and challenges for scientific research and application. Currently, the popularization of neuroscience devices in our province is still lacking, and our institute has a more urgent need for such devices in industrial design. In conclusion, this workshop will provide a platform for in-depth discussions, including the basic principles and applications of EEG, oculomotor, and near-infrared functional brain imaging techniques, basic principles of experimental design, best practices in data analysis and interpretation, equipment demonstration and operation practice, as well as sharing of successful experiences through case studies and interactive discussions. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the latest technological advances, master key principles of experimental design, and address challenges in data analysis. In addition, the workshop will provide a platform to encourage participants to share their experiences and discuss problems together. We look forward to discussing with you in the workshop to promote the innovation and development of neuroscience research in mechanical disciplines.
