Introduction to the Conference

In 1981, under the personal guidance of the great scientist Qian Xuesen, a comprehensive cross-cutting technical science, Man-Machine-Environment System Engineering (MMESE), was born in China. Man-Machine-Environment System Engineering (MMESE) is a science that applies the theory of system science and the method of system engineering to study the optimal combination of man-machine-environment system by correctly handling the relationship among the three major elements of man, machine, and environment, so as to realize the three major goals of man-machine-environment system, namely, "safety, high efficiency, and economy". Qian Xuesen gave a high appraisal to this new science, he wrote to Prof. Long Shengzhao, the founder of the discipline, on October 22, 1993, and pointed out: "You have pioneered this important modern science and technology in socialist China!"

On June 26, 2001, Qian Xuesen pointed out in his congratulatory letter to the 20-year anniversary meeting of the founding of the Human-Machine-Environmental Systems Engineering, "In the past 20 years, you have actively explored and explored in the emerging scientific field of human-machine-environmental systems engineering, and achieved very gratifying results, which makes me feel heartily happy. I hope that you will continue your efforts to vigorously promote the vigorous development of the theory and application of human-machine-environmental systems engineering, and make positive contributions to the progress of science and technology in China and even in the world!"

The Proceedings of the International Conference on Human-Machine-Environmental Systems Engineering are published by Springer, a famous German publisher, and have been stabilized for 11 consecutive EI Compendex core search. Meanwhile, the Proceedings have been awarded Springer's Top 25% downloads for several consecutive years, with a cumulative number of chapter downloads of more than 700,000, and have been included in more than 1,500 colleges and universities from more than 70 countries and regions.
