Conference Description:

The third offline communication session of the HBTS Neuroscience Symposium will focus on the topic of eye movement and physiological experimental design and data analysis.Experimental design is an important part of neuroscience research that relates to the quality and reliability of data.

In this session, eye movement and physiologic experimental design will be the focus of attention. Attendees will learn about best practices for eye movement experiments, experimental paradigms, and principles of task selection to help them obtain accurate and reliable eye movement data. Methods and operations of physiological experimental design will also be presented, allowing attendees to understand how to use physiological signals (e.g., heart rate, skin conductance, etc.) to study cognitive and emotional processes and to select appropriate physiological measurement devices.

Through this topic, participants will gain up-to-date knowledge and skills on the application of eye movement and physiological techniques in neuroscience research, will be able to design and execute their own eye movement and physiological experiments, and effectively analyze and interpret the collected data, helping participants to integrate their own research with neuroscience research methods.
