Conference Description:


The fourth offline communication session of "HBTS Neuroscience Symposium" will focus on the topic of EEG experiment design and idea sharing.Experimental design is an important part of neuroscience research that relates to the quality and reliability of data. Appropriate EEG experimental design is not possible if a fundamental understanding of the principles of EEG generation and acquisition is lacking. A rational experimental paradigm and proper experimental separation can allow us to decode brain EEG data and thus understand brain function and neural mechanisms.
In terms of EEG data analysis, we can study brain activities through signal processing, time-frequency domain analysis, event-related potentials (ERPs) and brainwave synchronization. These analysis methods can help us look for EEG features related to cognition, perception, emotion, etc. and reveal the interactions between different brain regions.
Through this topic, participants will gain up-to-date knowledge and skills on the application of EEG technology in neuroscience research, will be able to design and execute their own EEG experiments, and effectively analyze and interpret the collected data, helping participants to integrate their research with neuroscience research methods.
