Ergonomics Committee of the Chinese Society of Ergonomics (CSE)

On August 10, 2024, the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Ergonomics Committee of the Chinese Ergonomics Society was successfully held in the Multifunctional Hall on the second floor of the Victory Hotel in Beijing. The meeting was organized by the Ergonomics Committee of the Chinese Ergonomics Society and hosted by China Agricultural University. The purpose of the meeting was to summarize the work of the past year, plan the tasks for the next year, and make additions and adjustments to the members, and elect the vice-chairman and deputy secretary-general.

The Human-Machine Engineering Committee of the Chinese Society of Ergonomics takes the human-machine-environment system as its research object, and devotes itself to developing and exploring new theories and technologies of human-machine-environment system engineering to optimize the conditions of mutual adaptation between human beings and machines, so as to make the machinery and the environment conform to the characteristics of human morphology, physiology, and psychology, and to create comfortable, high-efficiency, and safe working conditions to effectively improve the efficiency of human work. The research involves a number of specific research fields, including human-machine interface engineering, human-machine system reliability engineering, human-machine environment system safety engineering, special environment life support engineering, and human-machine engineering for the disabled, etc. The research results directly serve the mechanical, physiological, and psychological characteristics of machines and environments. The related research results directly serve various industrial sectors such as mechanical, electrical, metallurgical, mining, chemical, atomic energy, aerospace, transportation, railway and construction.

The General Assembly was welcomed by Prof. Mao Enrong, Director of the Specialized Committee, who warmly welcomed all the participants and briefly introduced the relevant situation of the Chapter and the important tasks of this meeting. Jin Xiaoping, the secretary-general of the Specialized Committee, gave a detailed explanation of the preparation for the meeting, the attendees and the agenda of the meeting, and announced the Measures for the Appointment of Additional Members and the Election of the Vice-Chairman and the Vice-Secretary-General of the Professional Committee on Human-Machine Engineering.

Additions and adjustments to the membership of the General Assembly

After full discussion and voting, the General Assembly adopted the appointment system to add 27 persons as members of the current Specialized Committee, including our General Manager Mr. Li Jiahua, while all the original 23 member representatives were automatically transferred to members. After the additions and adjustments, the total number of members of the Specialized Committee is 50. Nominated by Director Mao Enrong and voted by all participating members, it was unanimously agreed that Prof. Song Zhenghe was elected as the executive vice-chairman of the committee, Profs. Bi Lu Zheng, Peng Yong and Yang Bin were elected as vice-chairmen of the committee, and General Manager Li Jiahua was elected as the deputy secretary-general of the committee.

During the meeting, the preliminary plan was to hold the next annual meeting in Xi'an University of Technology, and a handover ceremony was held, and Prof. Su Sheng made a statement that it was not only a handover, but also a responsibility and expectation.
