Shimadzu LabNIRS Benchtop NIR Optical Imaging System

The Shimadzu LabNIRS benchtop near-infrared optical imaging system is a device that uses near-infrared light, which is highly transmissive to the human body, to detect the light reflected by the internal scattering and absorption processes of the organism, and can respond to the active state of the cerebral cortex in real time. The safety of the device and its ability to detect the active state of the brain in its natural state have been widely used not only in the medical field but also in psychology, education, and cognitive science.

Three wavelengths of semiconductor laser provide more accurate data

Changes in blood oxygen, or deoxygenated hemoglobin concentration, which is an indicator of brain activity, can be measured using different wavelengths of gold infrared light. LIGHTNIRS uses triple wavelength measurement to increase measurement data and reduce interference data, resulting in more stable data results.

Three main features

Reliable performance
  • Multi-channel, high-density data acquisition
  • High-speed sampling that greatly improves the temporal resolution of near-infrared photoplethysmography (fNIRS)
  • 3-wavelength absorbance calculation, photomultiplier tube as detector, realizing high sensitivity data acquisition
Easy to operate
  • User interface is intuitive, friendly and easy to use
  • Simple keyboard operation to complete the data acquisition and analysis process
Extend the power
  • A wide range of optional accessories to support the acquisition needs
  • Additional acquisition channels can be added according to experimental requirements
  • Combined use with EEG, eye movement, MRI and other devices according to different expansion needs

Wide range of options to increase the range of applications

The Shimadzu LabNIRS benchtop NIR optical imaging system can be used in many disciplines, including basic research, information science research, and educational psychology research, in addition to drug development and medical research. The system has a complete range of optional components that enable it to meet the rapidly growing research needs of these disciplines.
