Opening of the Conference

Prof. Wang Lei, Conference Chair and Director of the Laboratory of Neural Management at Zhejiang University, delivered the opening speech. Prof. Wang Lei emphasized the important innovative value of interdisciplinary cooperation between social sciences and psychology, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, etc., and stressed the mission of the ICNN conference to promote the cross-fertilization of disciplines, to build a global platform for academic exchanges, and to promote the scientific discovery of human beings. Finally, Prof. Wang Lei introduced the participating keynote scholars and special guests, and warmly welcomed all the guests and participants.
Prof. Wang Lei, Chairman of the Conference and Director of the Laboratory of Neuromanagement, Zhejiang University, delivered the opening speech.
Prof. Ma Qingguo, Honorary Chairman of the Conference, Academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences and "Father of Neuromanagement", delivered a welcome speech. Prof. Ma Qingguo introduced the development of global neuromanagement and neuroeconomics as well as the independent path of building Chinese theories, objectively evaluated the great influence of neuromanagement on management science and industrial practice, and looked forward to the future prospects of research and application of this discipline both at home and abroad, in the light of his own experience.
Welcome address by Prof. Ma Qingguo, Honorary Chairman of the Congress, Academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences

Thematic report of the Conference

After the opening ceremony, the conference entered the theme report session. Nine renowned experts and scholars from home and abroad delivered keynote reports in two days. Professor Michael Platt of the University of Pennsylvania, former President of the Society for Neuroeconomics, discussed the innovative application of neuroscience in predicting consumer behavior and brand promotion through his speech, focusing on how neural technology can enhance advertising effectiveness, optimize brand strategy and support the development of startups, showing the great potential of neuroscience technology in business marketing. Prof. Songfa Zhong from the National University of Singapore and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology shared his team's latest research on "Narrowly Rational", which explores the differences in consistency of individual decision-making within and across scenarios and its underlying mechanisms. Associate Professor Cendri Hutcherson, President Elect of the Society for Neuroeconomics and Director of the Decision Neuroscience Laboratory at the University of Toronto, demonstrated how to use computational methods based on cognitive neuroscience to understand various phenomena related to self-control in laboratory environments as well as in real-life behaviors, and revealed the complexity of the psycho-cognitive resources that affect the human choice-making behavior, providing new perspectives on the intrinsic logic of human decision-making processes. It provides a new perspective for understanding the internal logic of human decision-making process. Researcher Yuzheng Hu from Zhejiang University introduced his team's work to explore the psycho-neurological mechanisms behind the excessive use of short videos through functional magnetic resonance imaging and electroencephalography, which provides important neuroscientific evidence for understanding short video addiction.

Prof. Christian Ruff of the University of Zurich, Director of the Society for Neuroeconomics, provided a neurological explanation of systematic biases in the perception of quantitative values through fMRI techniques, centered on the heterogeneity of individuals' attitudes towards risk in different decision-making contexts. Prof. Agnieszka Tymula, past president of the Society for Neuroeconomics and director of the Laboratory of Experimental Economics at the University of Sydney, discussed the impact of risk and decision errors on decision making and suggested ways to help people improve the quality of their decision making in multiple-choice environments.Yushi Jiang, associate editor of Nature Human Behavior, presented to the guests Yushi Jiang, Associate Editor of Nature Human Behavior, gave a keynote presentation on how to publish in Nature Human Behavior, detailing the journal's orientation, submission process and review workflow. Associate Prof. Ben Choi from Nanyang Technological University systematically discussed the application of neuroscience tools in information systems research, and then shared a number of working papers using neuroscience tools on topics such as energy-efficient driving and rebuttal reviews. Associate Professor Zaike Cao, Long-Term Associate Professor at Zhejiang University, shared a study on the impact of automated AI content review on User Content Generation (UGC) behavior, which explored the inhibitory effect of content review on the quantity of content and the displacement effect on the quality of content.

Prof. Christian Ruff shared his presentation on the first left, Prof. Agnieszka Tymula shared his presentation on the first right, Yushi Jiang shared his presentation on the second left, Associate Prof. Ben Choi shared his presentation on the second right, and Prof. Tsao Tsaike, Associate Professor, shared his presentation on the bottom center.
The conference also set up sub-forums around four themes: decision-making neuroscience, neural information system, neuromarketing, and neuroeconomics, where a number of scholars from universities at home and abroad shared their research progress and engaged in lively discussions with conference guests and other participants. In addition, during the tea break of the conference, the conference set up an academic poster session, exhibiting 34 research results from the University of Zurich, the City University of Hong Kong, the University of Pennsylvania, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Zhejiang University, Shandong University, Sichuan University, East China Normal University, Shanghai International Studies University and other universities, the participating scholars and authors carried out in-depth exchanges, and collided with a strong spark of thinking. Finally, the conference was successfully concluded under the chairmanship of researcher Peng Xixian from Zhejiang University, and we are looking forward to meeting you at ICNN 2026!
