The 4th Design Ergonomics and 2nd Neurodesign Conference was successfully held in Xi'an!

From October 18 to 20, 2024, the 4th Design Ergonomics and the 2nd Academic Conference on Neurodesign, hosted by the Design Ergonomics Committee of the Chinese Society of Ergonomics and organized by Xi'an University of Science and Technology, was successfully held in the ancient capital of Xi'an. Nearly 400 experts and scholars from more than 100 universities and enterprises attended the conference.

Under the theme of "Human-Friendly - Diversity - Symbiosis", this conference aims to explore the mechanism and latest progress of the intersection and integration of design ergonomics in design, advanced manufacturing, management engineering, neuroscience, information science, health industry and artificial intelligence, and to share the latest research and practice results of domestic and foreign academics and industries in the fields of design ergonomics, neurodesign, management ergonomics, medical-industrial cross-fertilization and so on, We will share the latest research and practice results of academia and industry at home and abroad in the fields of design ergonomics, neural design, management ergonomics, and medical-industrial cross-fertilization, and build an interdisciplinary, high-quality, open and inclusive academic exchange platform for scholars and technicians engaged in the research of the above fields.

The conference attracted renowned scholars and experts from home and abroad from a wide range of disciplines, including ergonomics, design, psychology, neuroscience, management engineering, mechanical engineering, information science, etc. They engaged in in-depth discussions on the latest research results of human factors engineering and design ergonomics, shared the application practice of neurodesign and neurohuman factors, and explored the cutting-edge topics of socially inclusive design and sustainable development. Top scholars from all over the country shared their latest research results and practical experiences in the fields of design ergonomics, neurodesign, management ergonomics, and cross-fertilization of medicine and industry through wonderful keynote speeches.

In addition, the conference set up 10 thematic sessions, a forum for young scholars and a forum for outstanding masters, which provided a valuable platform for researchers to present the latest research results and exchange ideas and experiences. Participants actively interacted with each other and conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on their respective research fields. In addition, 34 excellent papers were selected. During the conference, an interactive Human Factors Workshop was also organized.

Xue Chengqi, chairman of the Design Ergonomics Branch and professor at Southeast University, said that the success of the conference could promote the cross integration and common development of multiple disciplines.
