Conference Description:


The first offline session of the "Hengzhi Technology Neuroscience Symposium" will focus on the NIR topic of NIR experimental design and data analysis. NIR spectroscopy is a non-invasive method for studying and detecting brain activity by measuring changes in the concentration of oxyhemoglobin and deoxyhemoglobin in the cerebral cortex, reflecting the metabolic activity and functional connectivity of brain regions.
First, participants will learn how to design NIR experiments to study specific neuroscience questions. This may include identifying appropriate stimulation tasks and paradigms, selecting appropriate detection equipment and parameter settings, and developing experimental flow and data acquisition protocols.
In addition, attendees will gain insight into methods for analyzing NIR data. Learn how to pre-process raw data, including steps such as noise removal, motion correction, and light source drift correction.
Finally, one will learn how to use different signal processing and statistical analysis techniques to extract information about brain activity, such as time domain analysis, frequency domain analysis, and functional connectivity analysis.
Through this topic, attendees will gain the latest knowledge and skills on the application of NIR techniques in neuroscience research. Will be able to design and execute their own NIR experiments and effectively analyze and interpret the collected data, helping attendees to integrate their own research with research methods in neuroscience.
