Call for Papers and Conference Announcement|2023 Cross-Strait, Hong Kong and Macao Innovation Design Youth Forum

2023 Cross-Strait, Hong Kong and Macao Innovation Design Youth Academic Forum is another innovation design academic exchange event of Shenzhen University of Technology following the 2020 Cross-Strait, Hong Kong and Macao Innovation Design Youth Academic Forum, whose main purpose is to strengthen the connection and cooperation between Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan universities and innovation design academic organizations, and to promote Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan youth science and technology workers to provide intellectual support for economic and social development.

This academic forum consists of the main forum and six parallel sub-forums, with the main forum under the theme of "Collaboration and Design Innovation", and six sub-forums under the themes of Intelligent Design and Design Innovation, Health, Well-being and Human Factors Engineering, Friendly Environment and Sustainable Design, Experience and Service Design, Integration of Art and Science and Technology, and Design Education and Industrial Development. The forum is hosted by Shenzhen University of Technology and organized by the School of Creative Design of Shenzhen University of Technology. Shenzhen University of Technology is an internationalized, high-level, demonstrative first-class applied technology university built to high standards in Guangdong Province and Shenzhen. As the third local university in Shenzhen, the university has completed the breakthrough of founding from scratch in only 1034 days since the start of its construction in 2016, creating a new "Shenzhen speed" of university construction.As of 2023, the school offers 36 majors and enrolls students from 23 provinces across the country. in 2023, the physics submission line of Guangdong Province was ranked seventh among local colleges and universities in the province; the quality of students enrolled outside the province is excellent and attractive.The School of Creative Design of Shenzhen University of Technology is one of the first six colleges established by the university, and currently offers four majors, namely, Industrial Design, Environmental Design, Art and Technology, and New Media Art, of which Industrial Design is a provincial featured major in Guangdong Province. The college has scientific research and innovation platforms such as the Medical Device Innovation and Design Research Institute of China Industrial Design Association and the Industrial Design Innovation Center of the Great Bay Area Auxiliary Apparatus Innovation Center.

In order to further strengthen the contact and cooperation between Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan design organizations, and to better serve Shenzhen's "dual-area drive" strategy of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area and Socialist Advance Demonstration Area through innovative design, the School of Creative Design of Shenzhen University of Technology (SUT) has organized this academic forum in collaboration with mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan universities, industry associations and other organizations. SUT attaches importance to academic innovation and the introduction of talents, and hopes to further deepen the academic exchanges and cooperation between the Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and to attract high-level young design talents to join through extensive and in-depth exchanges.

This forum invites experts and scholars in the field of design from both sides of the Taiwan Strait and four regions to participate.

This conference calls for papers from young scholars of innovation and design, doctoral and master's students from universities in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and mainland China, as well as young innovation and design talents from enterprises, in order to build a platform for young scholars to communicate with each other academically. Participating young scholars are welcome to submit papers and make sub-forum presentations, which include but are not limited to the following topics: Intelligent Design and Design Innovation, Health, Well-being and Human Factors Engineering, Friendly Environment and Sustainable Design, Experience and Service Design, Integration of Art and Science and Technology, Design Education and Industrial Development. The conference papers will be formulated into the conference proceedings according to the requirements of scientific and technical paper format, and the excellent papers will be recommended to be published in the academic support journals of Furniture and Interior Decoration (Chinese core journal of Peking University, with the page charges at your own expense) and Journal of advanced design research (in charge of the organizing committee, with the page charges exempted), etc. The conference will be held in Beijing, China. The excellent papers of doctoral and master's students screened by the organizing committee can participate in the sub-forum paper exchange and report sharing session, and the organizing committee will reimburse the round-trip travel expenses of the doctoral and master's students who participate in the sharing.
