On September 20, the 12thChina Cognitive Communication Annual Conference and 2025 China Cognitive Communication ForumIt was held at Chang'an University. The conference was organized by the Global Rhetoric Society-Organized by the Chinese Society of Cognitive Communication, and co-sponsored by the College of Humanities, the Key Laboratory of Behavioral Science and Public Policy of Shaanxi Higher Education Institutions, the Center for Comparative Studies of Chinese and Foreign Cultures, and the School of Journalism and Communication of Chang'an University. With the core theme of "Cognitive Communication in the Perspective of 'Digital Intelligence and Chinese Flow' Mode of Going to Sea", the annual conference will carry out in-depth academic exchanges and collision of ideas, and jointly explore the cutting-edge direction and practical paths of cognitive communication in the digital era.


The conference featured 2 keynote reports and 8 sub-forums, attracting more than 200 experts, scholars and postgraduates from 41 organizations, including Peking University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University, Communication University of China, Jinan University, China Conservatory of Music, Sichuan University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Chang'an University, Zhengzhou University, Northwestern University, Hebei University, Chengdu University, Southwestern University, Ningxia University, Shaanxi Normal University, Jiangxi Normal University, Xihua Normal University, Sichuan More than 200 experts, scholars and postgraduates from 41 organizations, including Xi'an International Studies University, Dalian International Studies University, Tibet University for Nationalities, Northwestern University of Political Science and Law, Southwestern University of Political Science and Law, and Beijing Sport University, attended the meeting.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Li Wenxiong, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Chang'an University, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the university. He systematically introduced the disciplinary advantages of Chang'an University as a national "double first-class" construction university, as well as its continuous layout in the emerging directions of artificial intelligence, digital humanities and international communication. Li Wenxiong emphasized that the university attaches great importance to the development of humanities and social sciences, and that in the process of cultivating outstanding talents in the new era and serving the strategic needs of the country, humanistic literacy, communication ability, critical thinking and media cognition are of paramount importance. In his speech, Prof. Ouyang Hongsheng, President of Cognitive Communication Society of China (CCSCC) and Professor of College of Literature and Journalism of Sichuan University, systematically reviewed the ten-year development history of cognitive communication in China, and put forward four major directions of cognitive communication research in view of the development trend of cognitive communication in the era of digital intelligence.
