The workshop opened with a speech by Mr. Li Jiahua, General Manager of Hengzhi Technology. The session opened with an introduction by Can Jin, a technical engineer, who focused on the basic principles of EEG, eye movement, NIR and physiology.
As a professional engineer in the field of neural engineering management, he has in-depth research and understanding of these technical principles and presents them vividly and concisely to the participants.
The first is the Eye tracking technique. This technique uses a camera or infrared sensor to track the movement of a subject's eyes and analyze the focus, attention and cognitive state of the subject. Eye tracking is widely used in the fields of human-computer interaction, advertising research, and driving safety, and has the advantage of being non-invasive, so it is considered a very effective tool for behavioral research.
Next Electroencephalogram (EEG) technique. By attaching electrodes to the scalp, the weak potential changes generated during the firing of neurons in the brain can be recorded. EEG technology is widely used in neuroscience, cognitive psychology and other fields to help researchers explore the activity patterns of various functional areas of the brain and to diagnose some neurological related diseases.
The third technology is Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS), an optically based, non-invasive biotechnology for the quantitative detection of oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin in blood. It is unique in its ability to penetrate the skull and skin to directly detect the metabolic state and functional activity of the subcortical areas of the brain, and is widely used in neuroscience, psychology, and biomedical engineering.
Finally, there is the physiology (Physiology) technique. This technology focuses on classifying, analyzing, and comparing physiological signals from the human body, such as heart rate, respiration, and skin electricity, by capturing them. Physiology technology can be applied to many aspects such as diagnosis and treatment of diseases, health management, and emotional analysis.
Understanding these fundamentals is crucial to the mastery and application of neuroengineering management techniques, and I believe this workshop will enable participants to gain a more comprehensive understanding and appreciation of these techniques, which will help them in their subsequent research and practice of neuroengineering management.


Later in the workshop, engineer Xiaolin Zhang gave an in-depth presentation on the basic principles of NIR. Through the penetrating and scattering properties of light, NIR can monitor brain activity in real time, providing a new perspective for neuromanagement science.
Immediately afterwards, engineer Xiaolin Zhang shared a series of related experimental designs that reveal the potential of NIR technology in the field of management. By monitoring indicators such as the activity of brain regions and blood oxygen levels, we can understand the mechanisms of cognitive processes, emotional changes, and decision-making behaviors of individuals.
Engineer Xiaolin Zhang also shared some applications of NIR technology in real-world cases. By analyzing brain activity data, researchers can successfully predict teamwork performance, interpret the emotional state of leaders, and optimize the decision-making process.
