I. Theme of the session

As China's economy enters a new stage of high-quality development, industrial transformation and upgrading has become the core of China's economic policy in 2024. In this context, industrial design, as a bridge between technology and art, engineering and management, carries the important mission of promoting the development of new quality productivity and realizing the combination of innovation and intelligence. At this moment, the pace of global economic recovery is accelerating, and at the same time, we are facing the challenge of transforming from traditional manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing, and industrial design is particularly crucial in this process.

The year 2024 is a year of rapid global economic and technological change, with the widespread application of digital and intelligent technologies redefining the innovation path of products and services. In this transformation, industrial design not only enhances the market competitiveness of products, but is also an important force for sustainable social development and technological innovation. Every step of design is shaping the future of production and consumption.

The conference will focus on how industrial design empowers new quality productivity through systematic innovation, promotes the value enhancement of the whole industrial chain, contributes to green development, and maintains and enhances the quality and effectiveness of design education in the wave of digitalization.
