CHCI 2024
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) studies the design, implementation, and evaluation of interactive computing systems, aiming to enhance the information exchange capability between humans and computing systems. The technological change of HCI constantly breaks through the bottleneck of users' difficulty in using computers, enabling computing to expand from scientific computing for a small number of expert users to daily applications for billions of people, and playing an increasingly important role in national science and technology strategy, information technology innovation, and socio-economic development, which has been highly valued by academics and industries. The 20th National Academic Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (CHCI 2024) will be held in conjunction with the 20th National Academic Conference on Pervasive Computing (PCC 2024) and the 14th National Academic Conference on Wearable Computing (CWCC 2024) atAugust 19, 2024 - August 21, 2024InTaiyuan, ShanxiThe 20th Joint Conference on Harmonious Human-Machine Environment (CCF HHME 2024) is organized by China Computer Federation (CCF). This conference will provide a communication platform for exchanging the latest scientific research results, looking forward to the future development trend of human-computer interaction, and promoting the close cooperation between industry, academia and research institutes in the field of human-computer interaction. We welcome researchers, designers, developers and applicators to contribute and participate in this conference, and to discuss the future of the human-computer interaction field together.
To ensure the quality of the papers, the conference program committee will critically review the submissions and the acceptedCHCI 2024 Outstanding papers have the opportunity to be recommended to Big Data and Cognitive Computing, CCF Transactions on Pervasive Computing and InteractionTheJournal of GraphicsThe Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, theJournal of Taiyuan University of Technologyand other journals for publication. The conference will selectBest Paper Award, ,Best Paper Nomination, ,Best Student Paper Awardas well asBest Technology Presentation Awardand other awards will be given. The conference will also set up an exchange of papers for work already published by domestic scholars in top national journals and conferences in the field of human-computer interaction within the last year.

Submission Methods and Requirements
1) Conference papers
Manuscripts will be accepted in both Chinese and English. For Chinese manuscripts, please use the manuscript template of Journal of Computing (word), and for English manuscripts, please use the template of ACM (CHI, IMWUT).
Accepted conference papers will be exhibited and exchanged as posters at the conference.
2) Exchange of papers
Papers published in the last year in the following list of conferences or journals:
ACM CHI, ACM UIST, ACM IMWUT/Ubicomp, ACM CSCW, IEEE VIS, IEEE Haptics, IEEE VR, and other HCI-related international topical journals or conferences.
Exchange papers are not subject to formatting restrictions and should be submitted with the notation "exchange paper" in the system; exchange papers will no longer be included in the Proceedings.
3) Technology Demonstration
A technology showcase session is set up to share novel interactive technologies and demonstrate interactive experiences. Submissions are encouraged from the fields of human-computer interaction, gaming, entertainment, digital and interactive arts, and design. This session promotes and generates discussion on new technologies and invites people from industry, research, startups, the maker community, art and design.
Technology Showcase submissions are required to submit a video, 1-page presentation in any specific format.
