In 2025, the No. 1 Document of the Central Government proposed "practicing the concepts of big agriculture and big food, and developing food resources in all directions and in many ways." As the development goal of China's people's livelihood has shifted from "pursuing the quantity of food" at the stage of building a moderately affluent society to "improving the quality of food" at the stage of building a comprehensive socialist modernization, there is an urgent need to build a new pattern of food supply with a richer variety of food categories, a more optimized food structure, and a better quality of food. Practicing the diversified path of food security, deeply tapping arable land, grassland, forest and marine resources, accelerating the integration of food, economics and fodder, combining agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, focusing on green, low-carbon and recycling development, optimizing the mode of resource development and the structure of resource allocation, and expanding the sources of food through multiple channels can help enhance the ability to guarantee the supply of important agricultural products, comply with the upgrading of the food consumption structure of the masses of the people, and push forward the deepening of the strategy of food security towards food security. It promotes synergy between sustainable agricultural development and ecological protection, and solidly pushes forward the comprehensive revitalization of the countryside.

Against this background, the Food Economy Committee of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Economics (CSAE) proposes to hold the "2025 National Academic Conference on Food Economy and Management" in Harbin from August 20 to 22, 2025, to carry out discussions and exchanges centering on the theme of "Practicing the concept of "big food" and constructing a diversified food supply system", focusing on practical issues, highlighting strategic and scientific issues, and emphasizing new ideas and methods. Topics for papers (not limited to): Big Food and Food Security, Diversified Food Supply Policy System, Expansion of Food Sources and Development of New Resources, Optimization of Food Structure and Nutritional Balance, Enhancement of Food Quality and Food Safety Guarantee, Innovation in Food Science and Technology and Upgrading of Food Industry, Monitoring and Evaluation of Food Waste, Low-Carbon Recycling, and Green Development.

Specific requirements of the paper: the submitted paper must be an original unpublished work, abide by academic norms, cite accurately, and focus on intellectual property rights. Format requirements refer to the manuscript style of Food Economics and Management. To facilitate anonymous review and contact, author information (name, work unit, title and position, mailing address, contact phone number, e-mail address, etc.) should be attached on a separate page before the main text. Outstanding papers selected by the conference will be recommended for publication in Food Economics and Management.

1. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the conference at their own expense;

2. Accommodation will be arranged by the conference team at your own expense (RMB 420/day at Jingu Mansion Hotel, including breakfast);

3. Each participant will pay a conference fee of eight hundred yuan (¥800) and four hundred yuan (¥400), and the invoice will be issued by the China Agricultural Economics Association.
